In her lecture Andrea Fraser will consider the role played by cultural capital in contemporary political polarization and the rise of the radical-right.

Andrea Fraser is an American artist and professor of art at the University of California Los Angeles. Since the late 1980s, she has been one of the protagonists of institutional critique. Her work examines the functions of art and the art market from sociological, psychoanalytical, and feminist perspectives. In her performances, texts, video and audio works, Fraser has consistently problematized the contradictions of the field of art.
